A bank robbery mobilized the military police this Friday (10) in Crisium, south of Santa Catarina. Two men with large-caliber weapons broke into the agency and took about ten employees hostage.

“We received a call through the Emergency Center from people who saw [o assalto]including a person who was inside the agency,” Lt. Col. Eduardo Moreno said in an interview with NDTV.

According to Moreno, the military police quickly put up a perimeter fence to stop the bandits. The crime took place around 9 am in the area of ​​Quarta Linya.

“We even identified them at the time of the robbery. They noticed the actions of the police because it was very fast. We surround all locations. They began to refuse robbery, released the hostage. They discovered that they were not going to succeed in this endeavor. Everyone was released and surrendered,” he said.

Moreno also reported that no hostages were attacked and that no lethal weapons were necessary during the negotiations.

Two suspects were caught red-handed. According to delegate Yuri Micheluzzi, one is 33 years old, the other is 22, and both, in principle, do not have a criminal record.

The prime minister also confiscated a pistol, a 12-gauge shotgun and a guard’s revolver from the bandits, as well as the deducted amount. The amount is not reported.

Sycredi reveals himself

In the note, Sicredi said the facility was giving full support to staff and others present at the time of the incident, and authorities said everyone was doing well.
