For two weeks, investigators monitored the area where the suspect lives and tracked the addresses that the man frequented in order to approach him at the right time and make an arrest.
According to investigators, the favorite targets of the suspects are taxi drivers. A man always acts in the same way: he approaches the vehicle and requests information from the victim. The man is talking, agreeing on the price of the trip, asking for a discount and boards. The attack occurs only at the end of the trip.
In one of the cases, the suspect asked the taxi driver to drive into a dead end, realizing the situation, the driver tried to back up, but was stabbed. “We talked. The 40-minute journey did not bring me any worries,” said the victim, who had to be hospitalized due to cuts he received on his right arm and back.
Several victims have already contacted the police, and they all wrote the same thing. After the crime, the attacker always forced the taxi driver to take him home. The victims also reported that he used their mobile phones to make bank transfers to his account.

According to police chief Milton Tosca Jr., who is in charge of the investigation, the suspect has already been convicted of robbery and spent several years in jail. “He was on parole, and it was during this period that he committed this series of robberies,” he said.
