The building, which previously served as a bus company stop in Chapeco/South Carolina, has begun demolition to make way for wholesale and retail, and is due to open later this year.
At the site, workers are currently working to dismantle the roof of the barn. The project was announced by Grupo Celeiro in December 2022 during the visit of the mayor of the city, Joao Rodrigues (PSD).
According to Grupo Celeiro, the investment will amount to 30 million reais and will create 150 new jobs. The group currently has 650 employees.
The construction will cover over 12,000 square meters, with ample parking. Work must begin in March and be completed in October this year.
