It has been 25 days of hard work, but this Monday (30) Crisium’s Criminal Investigation Division (DIC) and State Criminal Investigation Directorate (DEIC/PCSC) police closed the case of a police chief who was killed during a robbery attempt. .

The crime happened on the night of January 6 last year. For the police, which solved 100% of murder cases last year, the first case of 2023 could not remain unsolved, also because the victim was a police chief.

On this Monday (30) the last person suspected of involvement in the crime was arrested. The fifth element is 18 years old, he is from Icarus, the city where he was. A warrant for provisional arrest was issued against him.

The announcement that the case is considered closed was made by Delegate Yuri Micheluzzi, who is investigating in his capacity as Chief of the Robbery Investigation Unit (DRR/DIC). The outcome of the case was presented at a press conference attended by Crisiuma Regional Delegate Vitor Bianco Junior.

Authorities said that in addition to the arrest on Monday (30), two other men were arrested red-handed the day after the incident. The teenager appeared at the police station 11 days later and was temporarily hospitalized. In that order, a fourth element was killed in a clash with police on Friday (27) in Cocal do Sul. The siege ended with a new prison.

It was proven that the purpose of the bandits was to steal the truck, not the delegate. But since it was parked in front of the establishment, which is located on the shore of one of the entrances to Crisium, there was an approach. The delegate reacted, but was shot dead as a result of the firefight. He died the next day.

An important discovery, now that the investigation is complete, is that less than 48 hours after the robbery, the investigation had already established authorship and identified the five involved. Since then, the civilian police’s job has been to find three people who were not arrested in the act.

The 17-year-old brought two types of firearms to the police station: a 380 caliber pistol belonging to Deputy Vargas and a 7.65 mm caliber pistol used in the crime.

Adults found guilty of the crime were charged with robbery, conspiracy and corruption of minors. Assigned offenses by teenagers are equated with the crimes of robbery and criminal association. Another five individuals were also charged with the crime of personal favoritism, for helping to escape and hiding the defendants.
