This week, three people were arrested and two luxury cars were confiscated in an operation against suspected synthetic drug traffickers in Joinville, north of Santa Catarina.
According to the Civil Police, the investigation was aimed at identifying the assets of those under investigation who laundered money received from the sale of drugs.
Chief Murillo Batalha of the DIC (Criminal Investigation Division) says a car worth 150,000 reais and another car worth 250,000 reais were confiscated, while others are still being sought.
Among those arrested, one is the leader of the group and was found in the Itaum area, in southern Joinville. Two others were arrested in Rio Negrinho, Planalto Norte and Sapiranga, in Rio Grande do Sul.
To carry out the warrants, the DIC of Joinville enlisted the support of the Rio Negrinho Civil Police and the Rio Grande do Sul Civil Police.
