A new earthquake in the province of Santiago del Estero, Argentina, was felt on Tuesday afternoon (24) by the people of Chapeco in the west of Santa Catarina, just over 1200 km away. An earthquake measuring 6.2 on the Richter scale occurred at a depth of about 600 km, around 15:37.

Last Friday (20) an earthquake measuring 6.8 on the Richter scale, registered in the area of Santiago del Estero, Argentina, around 19:00, was felt by residents of different areas of Chapeco.
