On Tuesday morning (24) in Rio Rufino, in the mountains of Santa Catarina, a smokehouse burned down. When the garrison arrived on the scene, the blaze was already under control, according to the CBMSC (Santa Catarina Military Fire Department).
According to the owner of the establishment, his father was not far from the tobacco drying oven when he noticed that a lot of smoke was coming out of it. Just then, noticing the flames, he immediately called for help.
Help arrived on a private irrigation machine, which used 8,000 liters of water to save the rest of the wooden building, with a total area of about 375 m².
By the time firefighters arrived, the flames had already gone out. Experts collected information, but did not disclose the cause of the fire, which should be clarified only by the results of the examination.
