Nine people were shelled and four were killed in the municipality on Saturday evening (21). According to civilian police, the suspects are two brothers, only one of whom is under arrest.
According to the military police, the crimes took place in a wine cellar in the community on November 12 shortly before 9:30 pm. When the brigades arrived at the place, three women and a man were already dead in the house, all were shot. They were a husband, wife, daughter and another woman who was on site during the massacre. The bodies were still in the IML this Sunday (22). The forecast was to release them at the end of the day.
Another daughter of the murdered couple, Giulia dos Santos, posted on social media mourning the deaths of her parents and sister Marina.
Three other men aged 26, 41 and 51 were injured, two of whom refused medical attention and one had to be taken to the city hospital for a health assessment. Two women were also victims of the attack, but police did not say if they were injured.
A civilian police investigation revealed that the shooter was a 32-year-old man who was accompanied by his 38-year-old brother, who is under arrest. The other remains missing. The cause of the massacre may have been the suicide of the brother of the suspects – Antonio Celso Mayer – on Saturday afternoon, motivated by family problems.
Antonio Celso Maier was buried at 2:00 pm this Sunday in the municipal cemetery of Campo Ere.
The case is being investigated at the Fonteira de Campo Ere police station. The report contacted the delegate this Sunday without success.
