On December 20, Ademar was also found burned in his own car. According to the military police, the car in which Adémar’s body was located, a Parati car with Biguaçu/SC license plates, was on the road on the Plataneia line, deep in the municipality. “There was no wake because of the weather and the position of the bodies. It was just a funeral ceremony. I have completed my last mission of guarding their bodies. The pain is huge, but before that we had the feeling that this whole tragedy was not over yet. Now we have managed to close a difficult chapter,” said the girls’ aunt and Neusa’s sister, who declined to give her name.
The children’s bodies were released on Tuesday (17) with the permission of the court. According to civilian police delegate Roberto Marin Fronza, this permission was necessary because the DNA test confirming the identification of the bodies had not yet been completed.
“The identification of them and Ademar will only be confirmed during the examination, but due to the delay in obtaining the results, we requested a judicial release so that the bodies can be buried,” explains Fronza.

In the car where the man was, there was a 12 mm double-barreled shotgun, which was also completely destroyed in the fire. There is no information about who the weapons belonged to.

The girls were buried in a wetland on Linha Mezari, in the interior of the municipality, with signs of aggression such as a sinking skull.
Ademar was the one who killed the entire family, the civilian police said. The delegate stated that the cause of Ademar’s death remains unknown as his body was completely burned in the Paraty he was riding.
The delegate said he did not rule out any hypotheses about Adémar’s death, such as murder, suicide or a traffic accident, but was convinced that he was the one who killed his two stepdaughters and wife.
Neusa Maciel would have been killed on Saturday [dia 17 de dezembro] at night with a single shot to the head. According to the delegate, the man wrapped plastic bags around her head and buried her in a shallow grave near the house. Later, he removed the body and buried it in another grave away from home, but also in the forest.
The girls would have been killed later. “We still don’t know exactly when the children were killed, but definitely between Saturday and Sunday,” explains Fronza. The children were found buried in a swamp near the house with a sunken skull, indicating aggression.
