The Santa Catarina Civil Police, through the Itajai Criminal Investigation Division, on the north coast of South Carolina, this Thursday (12) issued a warrant for the provisional arrest of a man who was on the run. He is suspected of trying to kill women in the state of Sao Paulo.
A 24-year-old man allegedly stabbed to death his former partner in Presidente Wenceslau (SP) and then set fire to his residence.
The crime could have happened after a quarrel because of jealousy. The man had been on the run for about a month and had an open warrant for a preventive arrest.
During this period, according to the civil police, he will live in Itajai. After exchanging information with the Sao Paulo Civil Police, the suspect was arrested at his workplace on Thursday afternoon.
He was sent to the penitentiary system, where he remains at the disposal of justice.
