One of the witnesses heard by the military police reported that Reginaldo had already lost consciousness, and even so, the guard continued to put pressure on the boy.
The episode took place early Sunday morning (8) in the San Luis area. The suspect was arrested red-handed for manslaughter when there was no intent to kill. He was released the same day after a custody hearing.
According to the TAJ (Santa Catarina Court), the prosecutor’s office expressed a desire to temporarily release the suspect with a preventive measure, and the judge on duty granted the request.
Argument
People watching the incident reported to the police that the fight began in a nightclub after the wife of the victim and her friend got into a fight with another woman.
The group was eventually removed by security. Outside, the situation worsened. According to the testimony, there was a new altercation, and Reginaldo threatened to take the gun in the car when he was stopped by a security guard.
According to civilian police, no weapons were found in the victim’s car.
The nightclub owner, who asked not to be named, told ND+ that the security guard involved in the incident was from an outside company and dismissed the incident as an accident.
“It was fatal, unfortunately. The man was very upset, threatened everyone, asked the names of everyone who was there. There was a moment when he said that he was going to take a gun into the car and went towards her when a security guard approached him. When approaching, there was a fall, we believe that there was a fracture, ”he explained.
Investigation
An investigation was launched into the case. According to the delegate, the cadaveric examination had already indicated the cause of death. “It was mechanical asphyxia due to narrowing of the neck in the form of strangulation, the famous strangulation from behind,” he said.
However, according to Giraldo, the testimony indicated that the guard went to restrain the man with a blow after he said he would look in the car for a gun. During immobilization, they would fall, which would lead to death.
Now the investigation is awaiting the results of tests for alcohol and toxicology.
