The PMRv (Military Highway Police) in the municipality of Palmeira, in the Serra de Santa Catarina, was called early last Monday (12) to investigate a complaint that the establishment had been broken into and some goods had been stolen.
The garrison proceeded to the site, where they found a car submerged in a ditch with water flowing next to the establishment. Scans by a nearby team turned up no possible perpetrators, as two boxes containing 36 bottles of beer, four bottles of whiskey and 8 bottles of mineral water were found outside at the back of the establishment.
A knife was found in the passenger compartment on the driver’s seat, which the 35-year-old victim, the owner of the establishment, identified as the knife used by the criminals. All items seized by the police are returned to the owner.
