A drunk man caused a traffic accident in the San Judas area of Itajai on the north coast of South Carolina. This fact happened last Sunday morning (11) and worried the owner of the company, whose gate was damaged as a result of the accident.
The 52-year-old Kombi driver was clearly drunk. According to the Military Police, which responded to the incident, the man sat down on the pavement as he approached and then immediately lay down on the ground.
He was unable to sit or speak, and could not pass a breathalyzer test, police said. Beer cans were found inside and outside the car.
The man’s identity was established with the help of a woman who works with him. The business owner, who called the military police, says the man was driving drunk when he crashed into the establishment’s gate.
The 61-year-old owner stopped the man and took the key to the Kombi before the police arrived.
The vehicle was assembled as there was no qualified driver. The man was taken to the General Institute of Expertise and then to the Itajai police station.
