A young woman’s face was cut as she slept during a bus ride from Recife, Pernambuco, to Salvador, Bahia, last weekend.
A medical student named Stephanie Firmo shared photos of the attack provided by the bus company only on Monday (5).
According to Stephanie, there was no discussion and the only person she interacted with on the bus was a friend who was also asleep at the time of the incident. First aid was given to the victim on the bus. After that, she and the passengers were taken to the police station in Conde, Bahia.
The agents heard some of the passengers and searched them until they found a knife with a woman sitting behind the student. Despite this, she was released because, in the opinion of the police, there were not sufficient grounds for making a decision on the preventive detention of the suspect.

“Guys, thanks to your intense mobilization on social media, the bus company helped advance the investigation and released a video proving the attack on me. The footage from the car’s camera shows that the woman who was driving behind gets up and quickly hits me in the face. The record leaves no doubt that there were no discussions or upsets between me and her. Instead, she simply stood up and cut me with the knife she carried while I slept. The attack was unfounded, brutal and brutal,” Stephanie wrote on social media.
“I don’t know if this person had the intention of seriously cutting me or killing me, but the fact is that we can no longer even travel safely. We’re not safe anywhere.”
After testifying, the victim was taken to the hospital, where he needed several stitches due to the injury. “Probably, I will have an eternal memory on my face, which will remind me of this terrible moment again and again,” he said.
