This Saturday morning, two civilian policemen arrived at the site of a landslide on Highway BR-376 from the Police Station for Traffic Violations (Dedetrán) in Curitiba, Parana (3). The data collected by the investigators will form the basis of a police investigation that will establish who is responsible for the tragedy, which killed two people.

According to the Civil Police of Paraná, usually the investigation is carried out in the area of ​​the affected area, but given the circumstances of the case, a special team could be appointed to more accurately assess the technical conditions. In another tragedy, when 19 people died in a car accident in almost the same place, Dedetran also launched an investigation.

Civil Defense deactivates special facility for incident

Also this Saturday morning (3), the Civil Defense of Paraná began to demobilize the post set up at the base of the Federal Traffic Police (PRF) in Tijucas do Sul (PR), which is close to the site of the landslide. The post served as a base for the teams that worked to rescue, salvage and clear the runway.

On Friday (2), search and rescue teams completed their work on the spot. The final check ruled out the possibility of missing other cars or people. This left only the team to clean up and assess the safety of the structure to see if movement could be allowed.

A total of 14 people were injured in the landslide, nine of whom were vehicle drivers, two of whom died, according to a balance sheet released this Friday; six survivors, four from the same car; six people who managed to get out of the cars on their own; and removed nine vehicles, six heavy and three light.
