Two fugitives from justice, who are on the list of the most wanted criminals in the state of Minas Gerais, were arrested this Monday (28) in Florianopolis. Both have extensive criminal records and were the target of an operation involving the MPMG (Minas Gerais State Ministry), PMMG (Minas Gerais Military Police) and the Santa Catarina Military Police. According to investigators, they led a luxurious life in the capital of Santa Catarina.
Françoir Correa dos Santos, 36, and Marcos Paulo dos Santos Queiroz, 33, were listed by Procura-se, a Minas Gerais state program aimed at arresting fugitives, and are now returning to serve their sentences in this state.
They were arrested with false documents, firearms and vehicles, possibly as a result of money laundering from drug trafficking.
According to MPMG, the fugitives had a very comfortable life, luxurious cars and houses with a swimming pool in Florianopolis. They introduced themselves as businessmen.
