The BC Eventos consortium, which operates the Expocentro Júlio Tedesco in Balneario Camboriu, on the north coast of Santa Catarina, has launched another important phase of the tourism and business venture.
Road works around the event center that meet the requirements of the bidding notice.
The third lane will be installed on the side of the road BR-101 with a length of about 1.3 km with a surface, signaling, fencing, and other elements of road safety. Expocentro CTO Robinson Soares explains that the final project was developed with the collaboration and input of concessionaire Arteris, PRF, BC Transito and community representatives.
“We were able to guarantee an adequate flow of vehicles around Expocentre, with a significant increase in issues related to road safety” he adds that “In the public notice on the concession of the Expocentre, we indicated an investment of about 900,000 reais required to complete the work. However, over BRL 4 million will be invested with the final version of the projects.”
The investment in the work is private and will be made by the Consortium, which operates in 3 months.
Designed to minimize the impact of major Expocentro events in the region and improve transport accessibility on BR 101, the new end lane is due to be completed in 90 days.
Every effort will be made to impact the BR 101 embankment as little as possible.
During this period, traffic along the embankment will be single-lane, concludes the technical director.
