The woman, whose age has not been released, was caned by her partner in San Miguel do West, in the far west of Santa Catarina. The military police were called at about 1:30 am on Wednesday (23). The fire department was also called to help the victim, as she had a head injury.
At the scene, police officers spoke to the victim, who said he left the house with his boss and may have been intoxicated. Subsequently, when she returned home, her partner would not let her in. They quarreled and he hit her on the head with a club. The victim also said that after she was attacked, she entered the house for a mobile phone when she saw a knife and tried to play against him, and then would have run away.
The garrison also spoke to the suspect, a 16-year-old who told police that he and his partner had been arguing for several days. The reason for the fight on Wednesday morning was that she came home drunk and started calling him names, the suspect said.
The teenager also said that she would have thrown an electric kettle in his direction and that she would have had a knife in her hands, and therefore, so that he could defend himself, he hit her on the head. According to police, the young man also said that he was often attacked by his partner and that he had several scars.
After talking with those involved, the garrison called the Board of Trustees, registered the protocol of the incident and seized the items used in the aggression. When the firefighters had already helped the victim, the couple was taken to the civil police station of San Miguel do Oeste.
The case is registered as light intentional bodily injury, threat and carrying or possession of edged weapons or a simulacrum. There is no information about whether those involved in the police past.
