Influencer Kat Torres, suspected of holding women as slaves in the United States, was arrested in Belo Horizonte on Saturday (19). The case of 29-year-old Katyusha Torres Soares received wide publicity after Yasmine Brunet was mentioned on live television.

Information about Kat’s arrest was confirmed by the State Secretariat for Justice and Public Security of the state of Minas Gerais on Tuesday (22). She had an open warrant for provisional arrest issued by a Sao Paulo judge. Information taken from R7.

Cat Torres has been put in charge of the alleged human trafficking scheme by the family of two Brazilian women. The parents of 21-year-old Leticia Maia from Perdoens (Minguji) allege that a powerful man coerced the young woman.
