The constant flooding that occurs in Divinopolis and Alfredo Morsh streets in Blumenau can be avoided by building a new rainwater drainage gallery in Ribeirão da Velha. The old demand from the community in central Velha will be met by the Department of Municipal Works (Semob), which will continue to operate during the first half of 2023.
Two weeks ago, the portfolio began to work on Rua Caçadores, on the banks of the stream. Mayor Mario Hildebrandt and Deputy Mayor Maria Regina Soar accompanied Production Secretary Michael Maiocchi on this important macro-drainage work.
“Such problems, which have existed for more than two decades, cannot be ignored by the public. And together we are acting in this region to meet several demands for this population that has already suffered so much,” said Mayor Mario Hildebrandt.
The intervention in the Velha Central area is carried out in partnership with Samae and BRK Ambiental. The goal is to solve the problem of flooding, basic sanitation and water supply.
Investments
All work includes macrodrainage and widening of the roundabout at Rua dos Caçadores and Rua Divinópolis. The investment of the municipality of Blumenau in the region is more than 2 million reais, of which 1.5 million reais came from a parliamentary amendment. Another R$ 585,000 came from the municipality.
