The child, who was expecting a pregnant woman who was shot dead in the house, died as a result of the incident. The information was confirmed by the Itajai military police.

The woman was nine months pregnant when she was shot twice, one in the neck and the other in the ribs of the young woman. She was admitted to the hospital around 8:30 p.m. and the family was notified of the child’s death at around 3:30 a.m.

Girl’s ex-partner suspected

A pregnant woman at 38 weeks pregnant, almost 9 months pregnant, was shot dead at around 20:00 this Sunday (16) in her own home in Itajai. The victim is 33 years old, has no police records, and was shot in the rib and neck.

According to witnesses, a thin man, about 1.70 meters tall, entered the house of the victim, who was with her family, asked who the pregnant woman was, and called her by name. When no one answered, he ordered everyone to lie down on the floor.

Shots hit the woman. When the military police arrived, the Samu brigade treated the pregnant woman, after which she was taken to the Marieta Conder Bornhausen hospital. The victim also claimed that his ex-partner was responsible for the attack.

Due to the attack, the birth will be premature, and the pregnant woman will have to have an emergency caesarean section. The former partner of the victim and the father of the child were not present at the scene, but had the right to conduct appropriate investigative actions. Just this month, the victim requested a new measure of protection against her former partner, as she feared for her life and the life of her child.
