Two women were seriously injured by stab wounds on Wednesday evening (12) in Calle Pedro Albino in São Joaquim, in the Serra Catarinense. The military police were called around 20:30 by a neighbor who said he heard the victims’ cries for help.
Leaving the house to see what was happening, the man came across two injured and bloodied women. They would report that they were stabbed to death near the first-aid post.
When the 6th BPM (military police battalion) arrived on the scene, the women were being transported by ambulance from Samu. One of the victims is 33 years old and has previous convictions for abuse and deceit.
The other woman was not fully identified as severe injuries prevented her from communicating. Both had chest injuries and were taken to a hospital in Lagesh in serious condition.
Moments after the incident, the Prime Minister received anonymous information that a wounded man was lying on a nearby road. The garrison made a detour, but could not find him. It is unknown if the case has anything to do with the previous crime.
Until the morning of this Thursday (13), the motives and authorship of the double femicide attempt were not clarified. The case is being investigated by the DPCAMI (Delegation for the Protection of Children, Adolescents, Women and the Elderly) of São Joaquim.
