Two suspects in the murder and concealment of the man’s body after an argument over a family dinner were put on trial and convicted. The jury of the Central District of Trombudo in Alto Val found Elisandro de Oliveira and Edilson Sousa guilty in a trial for the murder and concealment of the body of Valdir José de Paulo.

Elisandro was found guilty of the victim’s death, as well as hiding the body. For the crimes committed, the man was sentenced to six years in prison. Edilson was found guilty of hiding the body. The accused must serve a sentence of one year and four months.

The two men must serve their sentences in semi-open primary mode.

A crime

Valdir José de Paulo was killed in August 2017 in Agrolandia, in Alto Vale do Itajai. Elisandro shot the victim four times in the chest and head. The attack occurred after a quarrel over a family dinner.

According to the complaint of the OPSK, after the discussion, Elisandro pursued Valdir, who had already left the house where the family meeting was held. He fired four shots at the victim, three of which had already fallen to the ground.

Then Elisandro turned to Edilson for help, and together they loaded the body of the victim into his car and, after driving several kilometers, threw the corpse of Valdir into the river.
