A 55-year-old man is suspected of attempting to rape a teenager in Chapeco, west of Santa Catarina. The case took place on a Thursday afternoon (6). The man is known to the family and has not yet been located by the police.

The 13-year-old victim told the military police that the man had arrived at the family’s home and said that her grandmother had asked him to fix a leak on the roof. The suspect then entered the house and asked for a ladder to provide a service.

The girl said that she went to her grandmother’s room to get the scales when a man attacked her. She said he grabbed him and ran his hands over his body.

The girl screamed for help, and the suspect ran away. Her boyfriend called the military police, who recorded the case on a police report. The man’s whereabouts have not yet been established.
