A hotel in Serra Catarinense has been auctioned by the Federal Tax Service for almost 2 million reais. The place was confiscated in 2021 for being bought with drug money and used for money laundering, according to the Federal Court of Curitiba.
The headquarters of the hotel is located in the municipality of Aguas Brancas, 10 km from Urubici, on a plot of 2400 m². The space includes seven apartments with a combined living room and kitchen and two or three bedrooms, all equipped with appliances and utensils, linens and towels. The hotel also has a party room, playground, lake and outdoor hot tub.
According to the Federal Court, the property came to light after Anderson Gustavo Scario Gómez sued his brother Fabio Luciano Moraes and his mother Terezinha de Lourdes Scario, alleging that both donated the hotel innocuously. That is, the mother bought the inn and transferred the land to the name of only one son, depriving Anderson of the right to receive his inherited value.
According to the Public Notice of the 23rd Federal Court of Curitiba, the first auction will take place on November 21 in virtual and in-person auctions with an initial bid of R$1,883,890.00. If there are no bidders, the second auction will take place on 25 November with an initial bid of BRL 1,130,334.00.
