The military police officer shot dead early this Monday (3) during an attempted kidnapping at SC-491 in Florianopolis is “home and well,” police said. She was shot in the leg during the shootout and taken to Celso Ramos Hospital in the city center.

At the time of the shooting, one of the criminals fled the scene in a car. The abducted man, who was still in the car, managed to jump out of the moving car and was rescued by the police.
The other three men who participated in the action fled through the mangroves.
