A 35-year-old man was arrested in Blumenau, in the Itajai Valley, this Friday (23) around 10:45 pm for an attempted double murder, one of which was committed under the María da Peña Law.
The arrest took place in the Ribeirão Fresco area, but the incident started earlier, in Pedro Kraus Senior Street, when the PM (military police) went into action as a 32-year-old man was wounded by gunshots.
At the scene, the victim told police that the attacker was her sister’s ex-partner, who had not come to terms with the end of the relationship. The man is said to have broken into his former son-in-law’s home, shot him and stole his Ford Ka. The shot hit the leg of a man who was attended by Samu.
The victim also told the Prime Minister that the suspect went to his sister’s house in the Ribeirão Fresco area with the intent to kill his former comrade. While visiting his brother, the prime minister received a complaint that the suspect had actually shot his ex-wife.
According to the fire department, one shot hit the woman in the leg, the second in the stomach. She was conscious but disoriented. The victim was treated on the spot and then taken to Santa Isabel Hospital.
While the victims were rescued by the fire department and Samu, the police carried out searches to find the suspect. The stolen car was found abandoned on Pastor Oswaldo Hess Street.
The suspect was detained at the house of his former associate, where he was hiding after committing the crime. He carried a lemon revolver. 38 used in the crime, with two intact and three burnt ammunition. The man received an arrest vote and was sent to the Civil Police Center for trial.
