After heavy flooding in the area of ​​Travessan do Rio Vermelho in the east of Florianópolis, work began this Monday to install a drainage system and paving streets (19).

In total, nine routes will be provided in the district. The total investment in the service package is R$ 31,165,704.39.

The inhabitants of the Gerberas slavery and the Dário da Rosa slavery have already been able to see the works in the region. Mayor Topazio Neto notes that residents have been waiting for this service for years due to recurring floods in the area.

“2,500 pipes measuring two and a half meters by two and a half meters will be placed connected to the roads in this pipeline to solve the problem of their flooding. And besides, other roads in the region can be connected to this system, which will greatly facilitate the flow of water,” he says.

Recently, when the municipality received a large amount of rainfall, the area was once again one of the regions most affected by flooding. In the midst of the inconvenience caused by the cyclone, in August, the city authorities guaranteed the signing of orders for the start of work.

After work on the easement of Dario da Rosa, traffic will begin on Candido Pereira dos Anjos, parallel to the SC-406 highway. The package will also include drainage in the easements of Caminho do Arvoredo, Caminho das Orquídeas, Caminho das Acácias, Maurílio Nunes and Nery Donaciano Rodrigues.

Rua Cândido Pereira dos Anjos and other adjacent tiled roads will be rehabilitated following drainage work. Implementation is handled by Penascal Engenharia e Construção Ltda. for a period of one and a half years.

Drainage services on the Gerbera easement will run in parallel on Rua das Tulipas Vermelhas. Those with a dirt floor will get a tiled floor. These works are carried out with the contractor Arruda Ltda. – EP, for a period of six months.
