La Liga and its football clubs on Friday expressed their full support for the F League in the face of what they call a “provoked conflict” from the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF).

In a statement, La Liga deplored the “obstacles and hurdles that are trying to delay” the start of the women’s football tournament in Spain.

In his opinion, this is an attempt to tarnish “his good work and predisposition” in his struggle for the visibility and growth of women’s football, to the point of realizing that he is “instrumentalizing the refereeing establishment and seriously harming the F League”.

La Liga advocated a solution to the conflict with the referees with the aim that all participants could take part in the historic day of Spanish football, “ignoring other parties who only intend to delay the full professionalization of women’s football”.

The conflict continues just hours before the start of a historic season in Liga F, Spain’s first professional women’s football league, which has “reached big milestones” since its inception a few months ago and shows professionalism, ambition, ability and potential for sustainable growth.”
