The death of Queen Elizabeth II of England heralds the arrival of a new king. The eternal Prince of Wales will go down in history as Charles III, who became monarch at the age of 73. His mother had 70 before the throne, which he understandably cannot match.

After Charles, six men and four women make up the line of succession to the British crown:

one/ William, Prince of Wales

The firstborn of Carlos and Diana of Wales, when his father was king, bears the title of Prince of Wales.

He will become king if his father abdicates or dies.

Guillermo is 40 years old, he is married and has three children who follow him in the line of succession.

two/ George, Prince of Cambridge

The eldest son of William and Catherine are the Dukes of Cornwall, she is now the Princess of Wales – second in line to the throne.

George is nine years old and also a Prince of Cornwall.

3/ Charlotte, Princess of Wales

The third heir to the throne is Carlota. George’s sister is seven years old and the Princess of Wales.

She is the first British princess not to be inferior in rank to her younger brother in the line of succession.

four/ Louis, Prince of Wales

The youngest Duke of Cornwall is fourth in line to the British throne.

His chances of kingship are slim, and his two brothers are ahead (he would have overtaken his sister Carlota in the past).

Luis is only four years old and looks a lot like his brothers.

5/ Enrique, Duke of Sussex

The youngest of the two sons of Charles and Diana of Wales is now fifth in the line of succession to the British monarchy.

Enrique, who will soon turn 38, has decided to give up his real rights and live on his own with his wife Meghan Markle and their children.

6/ Archie Mountbatten-Windsor

The eldest son Enrique and Megan is three years old.

The baby was born in 2019 and has hardly lived in the British royal family since his parents moved to the US and left their posts in 2020. He does not have the title of prince.

7/ Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor

She is the younger sister of Archie and the youngest of the Dukes of Sussex.

She was born in 2021 and also does not have the title of princess. He will be seventh in the line of succession.

one/ Andrew, Duke of York

The Duke of York is eighth in line to the throne.

Prince Andrew is 62 years old and was stripped of his titles in 2022 in connection with an open case of sexual assault in the United States.

9/ Beatrice, Princess of York

Beatrice, Princess of York, daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York.

She is 34 years old and married to the Italian nobleman Count Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.

ten/ Siena Mapelli Mozzi

Tenth in the British line of succession is baby Siena Mapelli Mozzi, born in October 2021.
