After being accused of sexual harassment, Ricky Martin filed a millionaire lawsuit against his nephew, Dennis Yadiel Sanchez, who accused him of the crime. The singer filed a lawsuit this Wednesday (7) in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Ricky is asking for $20 million in compensation, equivalent to R$105 million at the current price. Information taken from TMZ.
Rick’s defense claims that the artist’s nephew tried to “kill” his reputation and because of the accusation, he would have lost millions of contracts. In addition, Ricky stated that after the false accusations, he was “harassed, harassed and extorted money with malicious intent.”
The 21-year-old nephew of the artist said that he was sexually harassed by his uncle, who could have committed incest. However, during a virtual trial, Dennis decided to drop the charges.
Thus, Martin won the lawsuit. The Puerto Rican team released a memo saying the judge had quashed a temporary restraining order issued a week ago.
“As we expected, the temporary protection order was not extended by the court. The prosecutor confirmed to the court that the decision to dismiss the case was made by him alone, without any external influence or pressure. And the prosecutor confirmed that he was satisfied with his legal representation in this case. It has never been anything more than a disturbed person making false claims without any evidence. We are pleased that our client has achieved justice and is now able to continue his life and career.”
In addition to the news informing about the course of the trial, Ricky Martin also spoke about the latest developments. On his Instagram profile, the singer shared a note containing the explanations given by his legal team and said, “Truth will prevail.”

According to the complaint, the singer’s nephew stated that he had been in a relationship with his uncle for seven months and that he would not accept the breakup by molesting him, which resulted in a restraining order. In addition, the nephew said that during their relationship he was subjected to physical and psychological abuse.
Despite the complaint, Ricky Martin’s sibling, who is also the uncle of the young man, said he did not believe his nephew and stressed that he had mental health problems and would have left the family in recent years.
