The TSE (Supreme Electoral Court) prevented on Tuesday (6) the candidacy of coach Pablo Marsal for President of the Republic. In the decision, the ministers considered that Marsal could not continue the election race, since the party itself withdrew its application for registration in July.

The Plenum also approved the party’s entry into the Brazilian Coalition of Hope of former President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT).

According to the R7 website, Marsala’s withdrawal from the party was announced by Evriped Junior, the founder of the party. Along with other members of the legendary wing, Euripede disputed the use of the acronym with then Pros President Markus Holanda in August.

Olanda, in turn, defended her own candidacy, which was represented by Marsal, and therefore sent a record of the candidacy of the coach after the congress held at the end of July.

In August, after Euripede took control of the party by decision of STF minister Ricardo Lewandowski, the pros announced they would drop their candidacy in support of former President Lula.

Minister of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), Alexandre de Moraes, rapporteur on the registration of the candidacy, voted to maintain the position taken by Euripides.

“The current panorama of the Pros, chaired by Euripede Gómez de Macedo Junior, must be respected, regardless of the possible challenge or invalidity of the usual protocols allowing the party to join the Brasil da Esperança coalition,” Moraes said.

The rest of the ministers followed without registering their votes. Moraes’ position is at odds with a statement from the Public Elections Ministry, which defended the retention of Pablo Marsal’s candidacy.

Last week, ministers also denied registration to former MP Roberto Jefferson, who tried to run for the PTB. At the same time, Marsal is considered the second candidate, whose candidacy is not allowed.

Pablo Marsal is 35 years old and has 3.6 million social media followers. Born in Goiania, he promotes activities as a coach. In January of this year, for example, he caused controversy when he took dozens of students on an expedition to Pico dos Marins in the interior of São Paulo, causing those who were trained to face winds of over 100 km/h and a storm. destroyed and flooded camping tents.

At the time, the firefighters who rescued the group classified the expedition as “the worst event ever seen in Pico dos Marins”.

The politician is also a pastor. In politics, he says that he is neither left nor right, and adopts an “anti-political” discourse in his profile. To justify his success, he says that he “discovered the codes for prosperity and soul control through connection with the source” and that as a result he has “a great desire to help people prosper.”
