This Saturday (6th) it was necessary to rescue a 65-year-old man who fell into an animal hole while hunting in a forested area in Imarui, south of Santa Catarina.
According to the fire department, the elderly man’s wife called the garrison around 13:30 and said that he went hunting at midnight and still has not returned. She also reported that her partner had a history of a heart attack.
After the search began in the forest, firefighters found an elderly man. He was lying upside down, and half of his body was locked in an animal hole.
When he was removed, rescuers found that the man was dehydrated and conscious, but had irritation, swelling on his face and reported pain in his left upper limb. He was then taken to the San Camilo Hospital in Imbituba.
