A shipment of 79 cases of illegal wine from Argentina, 465 bottles in total, was confiscated by the Prime Minister (military police) at dawn on Wednesday (20) in Iraseminha, in the far west of Santa Catarina, without proper customs clearance.
In addition to the goods, the police found a radio communication system installed in the car, two cell phones and 3,500 reais in cash.
The product is valued at about 204,000 reais. The driver of the GM/Astra car tried to evade the police, accelerated sharply and overtook. According to the prime minister, there was a lot of fog on the road and the car followed the BR-282 to the entrance to the São José do Laranjal line, covering about 3 kilometers of dirt road.
The driver drove about 30 kilometers in an unknown direction through the interior of Iraseminha until he crashed into a ravine and fled on foot. He was escorted by one of the military police about 500 meters until he was captured and arrested. The goods and the vehicle were confiscated.
This approach was supported by the Flor do Certan and Maravilla military police garrisons.
