At the investigation stage, the man is responsible for the attempted murder, since at the time of the escape, there was allegedly an intent to run over a police officer. This process follows the initial investigation procedures, after which the prosecutor’s office files a complaint with the judiciary.
“In the case, although the defendant has no criminal record, it seems that the specific gravity of the act reveals the danger of the agent and entails the need to ensure public order,” the justice of the peace emphasized in the ruling.
Remember the case:
It all started when agents of the PRF (Federal Highway Police), who were inspecting a BR-101, stopped the driver, who was driving a car with Tubarão license plates.
The driver not only did not stop, but also accelerated and tried to run into one of the policemen, throwing a car at him. The attempt, however, was unsuccessful and a chase began for about 12 kilometers.
The driver “stopped” only when he collided with the back of another car and was approached. At that moment, the reason for the escape became clear: 284 kg of marijuana were hidden in the trunk, on the back seat and on the floor of the passenger seat.
The 23-year-old driver without a driver’s license was taken to the police station.
