One of the authors of the drone attack during the act with former President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva (PT) in Uberlandia, in Triangulo Mineiro, was arrested on Saturday (2) at the request of the MPF (Federal Public Ministry).
The suspect is 38-year-old farmer Rodrigo Luis Parreira, who was arrested for illegally acquiring firearms following an MPF investigation that linked him to the drone case.
According to Sejusp (State Department of Justice and Public Security), the farmer is in Uberlandia 1 prison. He has already been convicted of embezzlement in the state of Minas Gerais.
Rodrigo and two other men reportedly used a drone to launch a liquid that was supposed to be poison to kill flies at the militants who were waiting for the action to begin.
The searches were carried out on Friday (1st) after the Justice granted a motion for pre-trial detention in the SPS, which said that during the searches, the suspect tried to destroy some evidence by getting rid of his mobile phone. In addition, the location of one of the weapons registered in the name of Rodrigo Luis Parreira, a model 7022 rifle in .22 LR, has not been located.
The arrest of the farmer was made on Friday by order of Judge Osmar Vasa de Mello da Fonseca Junior of the 3rd Court of the Uberlandia Judicial Section and carried out on Saturday.
