Two women aged 38 and 33 were arrested last Saturday (aged 25) in Itahuba, Minas Gerais. They would have strangled the older husband. The victim was 51 years old, she was a civil servant in the mayor’s office.

To commit the crime, the wife asked to tie the man under the pretext of testing the immobilization skill, and he agreed. Hands and feet were tied. Since he could no longer defend himself, she would cover the man’s mouth and nose in order to strangle him.

When the man was unconscious, the wife called a neighbor who already knew that the woman was going to kill her husband. When they realized that he had died, they had a plan to simulate that the man had suffocated. They then placed a piece of food down the man’s throat and called the fire department, who tried the victim, who was already lifeless.

The wife confessed and told the police how the crime happened. According to the woman, she did not have a specific motive for killing the man, but she said that, while strangling him, she remembered that he called her “old and fat.”
