Such an appointment will be subject to the approval of the Itapema city council, which will not be a problem, since the chairman of the Legislative Assembly, Alexander Shepa, who was present at the meeting, gave a positive signal.
“By agreement with the court, we undertake to cooperate in every possible way to make it possible to establish a Labor Court in our municipality. Not only Itapema will benefit, but also nearby cities.”The mayor then said.
The representative of the Federation of Workers in Industry of the State of Santa Catarina (Fetiesc), Jairo Rodriguez, presented statistics such as the number of urban residents who could benefit and their geographical distance from the Balneario Camboriu Labor Forum, which, according to him, will increase the need to create in region’s labor judiciary.
President José Ernesto Manzi thanked Mayor Nilza Simas for the proposal and stressed the importance of keeping the judiciary within reach of the population and said that he intends to look for a solution that will serve society in the region.
