Passengers at Joinville Airport in northern Santa Catarina will be able to travel northeast non-stop. During the next month, direct flights will be available from Joinville to Porto Seguro in the state of Bahia. The new route will be provided by Azul to meet high season demand.

According to the company, the measure aims to meet and stimulate consumer demand for vacations in July. With departures always on Saturdays, there will be eight flights that will link the two cities.
“Our high season knitwear is more than ready. Some flights designed for the corporate segment are leaving the scene, and the offer includes flights focused on entertainment routes. We are bold again and creating unprecedented connections between cities outside the capitals of the south and northeast, such as Joinville,” emphasizes Vitor Silva, network planning manager at Azul.
Flights from Joinville to Porto Seguro will always operate at 15:35, with an estimated arrival date of 18:00 in Bahia. Departure from Porto Seguro to Joinville is scheduled for 11:00, with an estimated arrival time of 13:25. Direct flights between the two cities are always operated on Saturdays.
The flow should be 174% higher during holidays
According to information from CCR, the concessionaire that operates the Joinville airport, the prospects for economic recovery and coverage of Covid-19 vaccinations are among the factors that should help increase passenger traffic.
About 3,000 people are expected at the airport for the Corpus Christi holiday to pass through this place between this Wednesday (15) and Sunday (19). Last year the traffic was 1100 passengers. That is, the estimate is such that the flow will increase by 174%.
