A fight between neighbors almost ended in tragedy in the municipality of Barra Bonita, in the extreme west of Santa Catarina. The assassination attempt was attended by the Prime Minister (military police) late this Thursday (9) in the city center.

The Prime Minister said he was called to investigate a dispute between neighbors. One of them was shot dead by a man. At the scene, the mother of the victim said that she and her daughter were at home when a couple of neighbors began to threaten their daughter.

At one point in the argument, the man allegedly threw a Styrofoam box at them and shot the woman in the leg. The victim was taken by firemen to the regional hospital for medical assistance with an injury to the big toe of his right foot.

The police garrisons of Barra Bonita and Guaraciaba searched the author’s house and the territory of the municipality, but his whereabouts were not established. Incident bulletin registered.
