The Department of Infrastructure of Florianopolis has withdrawn the application for the expansion of the Yurere beach in the north of the SC island, which was suspended on the recommendation of the TCE-SC (SC Accounts Office). Work will only be carried out next year. The cancellation was published in the official gazette circulated this Wednesday (8).

The decision was formalized following a meeting earlier this week between Gallina, Mayor Topazio Neto (PSD) and Councilor Cesar Filomeno Fontes. At the end of March, Fontes expressed concern about the possible overestimation of the cost of mobilizing and demobilizing dredgers if work was carried out at two resorts in the same period.
According to Secretary Walter Gallina, fattening work for the English continues until 2022, with the forecast to launch a new public notice and expected delivery in the second half of the year.
