A runway runway followed by a fall into a river nearly ended in tragedy yesterday afternoon at SC-281 in Trombudo Central. Submerged in water, the 63-year-old driver was blocked in the car, but he was rescued by a fireman who was passing by at the time of the accident.
Soldier Fabrizio Jefferson Heidrich stationed in Trombudo Central was in the right place at the right time. He got off the motorcycle he was driving and entered the river to save the victim. When the rescue team arrived, the old man was already out of the river and out of danger.
The episode took place around 5:30 pm on a river on the banks of SC-281 in Trombudo Central.
