If anyone still has doubts about this government’s stance towards LGBT+ people, rainbow families and children who are part of it, they can now put them aside forever. The House Justice Commission rejected two amendments submitted by Pd e+Europa to introduce transcription of birth certificates for children of same-sex couples conceived abroad. The majority rejected them by 13 votes to 11. “They confirmed,” as Pd’s Alessandro Zan tweeted, “their will to persecute rainbow families.”
