Rosalia received a Grammy for Best Alternative or Latin Rock Album at the 65th edition of the awards, which took place this Sunday at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, the US Recording Academy announced. The Catalan artist, who did not attend the preliminary gala of these awards, competed against Jorge Drexler’s “Tinta y Tiempo”; “Carmen 1940”, Mont Laferte; “Allegory” by Gaby Moreno; and with “Los Años Salvajes”, a composition by Fito Paez.

This is not the first Anglo-Saxon Grammy for the singer, who also won an award in the same category in 2020 when she was also nominated for Best New Artist. Rosalia also chooses the gramophone, which recognizes the best long music video for “Motomami (Tik Tok Live Performance)” in this edition.

The 65th Grammy Awards will take place this Sunday at the Crypto.com Arena, the home of the Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers basketball teams.

Due to the large number of Grammy-recognized categories, the Recording Academy divides its ceremony into two parts: the non-television pre-gala where most of the awards are presented; and a big ceremony that takes place in the late afternoon and announces the most popular awards in front of the cameras.
