A successful initiative in Manaus, the capital of Amazonas state, is reaching Itapema, on the northern coast of SC. This is Burakometer, an application for detecting and locating potholes on city roads. The tool is available for Android and iOS systems.
The initiative to submit an application to the city of Itapema came from Councilor Adriano Pivotto (Podemos). Using the interface, the public can report poor street conditions. This data should generate a report periodically so that city hall can take action.
“Itapema is the first city to have the application, which has already been piloted in other states and has become widely adopted by the population as it is a simple tool for the user and provides a common display of the street situation for strategic use by government authorities. . I am confident that this tool will allow the mayor’s office to have macro- and microplanning for the asphalting and repair of city roads,” the adviser explained.
To use the app, simply download it from the Apple Store or Play Store, register and record the problem using photos on your mobile phone. Using the tool, you can determine which area is in the most critical situation.
Residents can report potholes
“We guarantee Itapemense the right to exercise citizenship, control and know clearly and transparently which streets have the most infrastructure problems. We will collect all this information and forward it to the responsible authorities. The idea is that everyone has control in the palm of their hand,” said Adriano Pivotto.
The system was created by the federal deputy for Amazonas, Amon Mandel, and handed over to the Councilor of Itapema. “I always want to know about the projects that have been implemented throughout the country in Itapema, and I am sure that the Buracometer will greatly help our city,” concluded Pivotto.
