The municipality of Itajaí, on the northern coast of Santa Catarina, will open Elume, a regional innovation center (6), next Monday. The building, located in the Itaipawa district, was built in partnership between the municipality and the CIM-AMFRI consortium.
Elume is part of the Santa Catarina Innovation Program, promoted by the state government in partnership with organizations from all regions of Santa Catarina.
The model was inspired by the initiatives of the Network of Science and Technology Parks of Catalonia (XPCAT) and the research institute based at Stanford University – SRI International, after verification by the XPCAT technical team.
The space will serve the entire Foz do Rio Itajaí region, consisting of 11 municipalities.
Elume will have a complete structure
Elume will also offer entrepreneurs a complete physical space with technology infrastructure and a range of shared services to develop innovative businesses.
The opening ceremony will take place from 9 am at Elume, which is located at Rua Manoel Bernardes, no. 1054, Itaipawa district.
