The statement, made on a podcast by former Google CEO Mo Gavdat, is resonating on the networks. Last Tuesday (16) he said that if AI (artificial intelligence) continues to develop as it is, it is likely that they will view humans as creatures that need to be controlled, like garbage.
Former Google R&D business head Gavdat said on the Secret Leaders podcast that the new robots could create their own weapons to dominate and destroy humans.
Although he believes that this confrontation is still a little far away, the expert warned that humanity is ready to make technology capable of dictating its own rules.
He remarked that it makes no sense to simply call artificial intelligence villains, because humanity will end up putting itself at risk. Therefore, the former director argues that the real threat is a person, but that we must stop new technologies as soon as possible.
In addition, Gavdat pointed out that even if they wanted to, humanity would not be able to get rid of AI now due to the competitiveness of the tech giants who have invested a lot of money in it.
“Very prominent scientists and business leaders are saying, ‘Let’s stop AI’. But this will never happen, not because of technical problems, but because of a commercial dilemma,” the former director added.
