Blusoft, the center of the Technology Association of Santa Catarina (ACATE) in the Blumenau region, is participating in the second edition of job mapping in the technology sector in Santa Catarina. In this edition, the survey is supported by the State Fund for Research and Innovation (Fapesc) and aims to identify the current scenario for the labor force available in the labor market in the state. “Our first step is mapping. Second, that actions take place to cover the need. And for this, you need to use the entire ecosystem,” said Bruno Tiergarten, president of Blusoft-ACATE.

The survey will be able to determine in detail the volume and profile of specialists in demand for technological vacancies, in addition to the characteristics of each region of Santa Catarina. Based on the data, ACATE and its regional hubs, including Blusoft, will forge partnerships to encourage the qualification of new talent. The goal is to train specialists in areas of expertise that address the shortage of specialized workforce.

In 2022, more than 9,000 people have already started training. Qualification of specialists is one of the activities of the enterprise until 2025, along with other industry organizations, educational institutions, state authorities and self-government.

In 2021, a survey conducted by ACATE supported 16 professional training partnerships with 4,926 participants. Programs supported by the organization include Entra 21, DEVinHouse, Prototyping the Quebrada, Pode Crer, Oracle Next Education, Floripa Mais Empregos, Jovem Programador, DEV-TI SC+TEC, Geração do Futuro, and the Cisco Networking Academy.

One of the benefits for member companies that support initiatives is the recruitment of talented individuals who excel during training. In the second edition of the survey, companies that responded to the job mapping will be prioritized for participating in ACATE training projects.

The first edition of the survey revealed an increase in the number of tech job openings between 2021 and 2023. For 2022 alone, 5,364 jobs were predicted to be created, of which about 3,000 were for developers. Among the specialties most demanded by companies were Full-Stack, Back-End and Front-End developer functions.
