The seven previous notebooks of the 16 in 1 project dealt with the future of various and fundamental areas of our society. In all of them, as well as in every other industry, field or segment that you can think of, technology is present and is the main tool for foreseeing the coming years.

And in the 2050 scenario, given the pace of technological development we’ve been dealing with lately, it’s almost impossible to know what will happen until then. However, there is an irreversible certainty that already requires an analysis of what should happen and how to prepare.

When it comes to technology and development, just look at the panorama of 30 years ago and understand how much we have changed in this respect since then, and try to understand how our lives will change in the next 30 years.

Immersive future – the path of no return

There are a number of technology-related topics on the agenda at the moment, and there is no turning back. Artificial intelligence, virtual reality, the internet of things, 5G…there is no shortage of trends pointing towards a future that is becoming more and more exciting and connected to the virtual world and in some ways brings us closer to people and places.

Many problems also arise in this context. In all areas, despite the obvious benefits that technology offers, the future inspires a number of negative consequences, many of which are still unknown, that may manifest.

The so-called “Silicon Island” could provide important benefits for our future in several areas. From the economy, healthcare, education and even urban mobility, which is one of the major bottlenecks in the city.

Speaking of the future, of course, the metaverse is also on the agenda. After all, what is this “virtual world” that has attracted the attention of companies, governments and the general public? Between advantages and possible disadvantages, the future points to an important impact on the lives of all of us, whether it be entertainment, leisure, work or even the most important events.
