Marilyn Monroe’s passion for cars has been reproduced in hundreds of photographs around the world. One of the models Marilyn drove, a pink 1959 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz convertible manufactured by General Motors in the 1950s, is on display at the Automotive Museum in Pomerode, South Carolina. The “V” on the front of the hood was Ford’s tribute to Queen Victoria, Queen Elizabeth’s grandmother. The Ford Victoria sedan was produced in 1951 with a “double bullet” grille, chrome bumpers. The two-door coupe had an in-line six-cylinder engine. The highlight is the Ford-o-Matic automatic transmission.

The collection of vintage cars was actively visited during the Pomerode gastronomic festival. The ticket costs 32 reais. Visitor numbers should pick up with the premiere of Blonde on Netflix on September 23rd.
